As Boxing Science becomes a social enterprise, we will be instating Boxers as members of the team in the role of Boxing Science Ambassador.

We are very pleased to announce that Boxing Science’s first ambassador is …

Callum Beardow

Callum is a senior elite amateur boxer that has been part of the Combat Conditioning program for over 2 years. In this time, his athletic development has been exceptional and is a fantastic example to the program.

Danny Wilson

Often fighting at a heavier weight appropriate to his stature, Callum has found the program beneficial in becoming an effective fighter at a lighter weight category of 81 kg. The 19 year old Sheffield lad was the ABA national junior champion in 2012, as well as numerous regional titles under his belt.

He is currently in training camp preparing for the Senior Elite National Championships (commonly known as ‘The ABA’s). His ambition is to win the championships and represent his country/Team GB before turning professional.

Quotes - Callum Beardow“Extended Strength and Conditioning support has opened me up to a whole new level of physical fitness. I now see S&C as a main part of my preparation for competition to ensure optimal performance at a lighter weight. I am grateful of the opportunity Boxing Science has given me, excited for the training camp and proud to represent them in my future career” – Callum Beardow

What Does The Ambassador Role Offer?

As we are a Social Enterprise, we look to make S&C services more affordable for boxers. Callum will now receive sponsorship from Boxing Science to help part-fund S&C training fees at Sheffield Hallam University. He will partake in the Combat Conditioning Silver program, receiving extended S&C support on the road to the championships in April.

Callum’s progress will become a regular feature on the Boxing Science website through case studies and frequent updates.

Being an Ambassador, Callum will wear the logo proud on his kit (picture below from Kit Locker) and assist with future educational workshops.
