The youth training workshop we delivered in August was a truly enjoyable experience and we see it as a great success for Boxing Science. Getting the opportunity to have increased and consistent contact time with the young boxers allowed us to increase their sport science knowledge and understanding, as well as giving them the ability to practice this themselves away from the university.

But why is this important?

In a recent interview, I explain the reasons behind why we deliver the workshops and how we see it as one of our main social objectives

October Half Term Training Camp

The youth training workshop we delivered in August was a truly enjoyable experience and we see it as a great success for Boxing Science. Getting the opportunity to have increased and consistent contact time with the young boxers allowed us to increase their sport science knowledge and understanding, as well as giving them the ability to practice this themselves away from the university.

Now we are delivering it again this October half-term. On Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th October, our team of experts will be delivering two days of training and education from 9am-4pm.

Fun, informative and practical based workshops will improve youth boxers knowledge and understanding in strength and conditioning, physiology, nutrition and psychology.

Influencing the next generation of boxing

Athletic development programs for children and adolescents are now being used in a range of sports and athletic competition. At most Football and Rugby clubs, there are youth training systems lead by qualified sport science practitioners.

But what is happening in Boxing?

Well, we believe we are really leading the way in the region, UK… maybe even the WORLD!

Youth Training Workshop Montage

Our mission is to create a training system to athletically develop the champions of tomorrow.

The youth training workshops are aimed to increase young boxers knowledge and understanding of sport science principles to apply to their training themselves.

Take a look at what we did in our last camp Summer 2015.
