VIDEO: Muheeb Fazeldin Strength and Conditioning Camp
Muheeb Fazeldin has been training at Sheffield Hallam University for the past 15 months. On this journey he has 4 big wins, including 2 early knockouts and a super-bantamweight central area title.
Now he is just days away from his biggest fight to date, when he competes for the vacant Bantamweight Commonwealth title against South African opponent Klaas Mboyane.
Explosive!
Muheeb’s main exercise this camp has been the Clean Pull. This exercise is a variation of the Olympic lift ‘Clean’.
The pull does not require the athlete to catch the bar in the front squat position, meaning that the weight load on the bar can be increased. This can see favorable improvements in rate of force development and impulse – two key factors to a harder punch.
This has worked wonders for Muheeb, seeing a massive 13% improvement in relative lower body impulse and 9% in left hand estimated punching force.
Muheeb is now able to produce more force at a lower weight.
