Stoppage Wins for Boxing Science Pair
Saturday night saw a packed Dennis Hobson Boxing Promotions card of at the Magna Centre, Rotherham.
Thirteen local fighters were matched up looking to build their careers towards boxing stardom. Boxing Science have supported two boxers in their preparations for their respected fights, and their hard work returned fantastic results.
Sheffield boxers Muheeb ‘Flashy’ Fazeldin and Kyle ‘The Golden Kid’ Yousaf both recorded impressive knockout wins to kick start their season.
Flashy performance
Yemen born bantamweight Muheeb Fazeldin recorded his second knockout win on the bounce against game fighter Dmitrijs Gutmans. Muheeb delivered his Latvian performance his first knockout loss in the second round when he walked on to a devastating counter right hand. A favorable shot for the unorthodox Fazeldin as it has helped him to his recent success, and his rise to a title shot on November 21st.
Muheeb has been training on the strength and conditioning program at Sheffield Hallam University for the past 18 months. Check out his recent training in the video below.
A golden first round
It’s 5 wins from 5 fights in his maiden year for Kyle Yousaf, as he impressed the Magna crowd with a first round knockout. This was seen as a statement as his British opponent, Gary Reeve, went the distance with another Sheffield flyweight prospect Waleed Din.
Kyle ended the night early with a viscous one punch knockout with a classy left hook, with the referee deeming that his opponent unable to continue.
This is no coincidence, as he improved his estimated punch force by 11% on his left hand. Furthermore, he improved his squat jump height by 12%, and increased his peak running speed by 1.5 km/h.
These fantastic improvements contributed to a great result, really showing that hard work pays off. Kyle feels that the “strength is coming through” following his first Boxing Science training camp.
We look forward to celebrating many more victories in the near future.
