Science behind the Thrill
Featherweight prospect Jordan Gill has been training with the Boxing Science team at Sheffield Hallam University for the past 5 months. ‘The Thrill’ has taken part in a full sport science program with strength and conditioning and repeated sprints at the University twice per week, as well as a full running, mobility and training monitoring program to leave no stone unturned.
In the video above, we catch up with Jordan during his recent testing session prior to his fight on Saturday 5th December.
He recorded impressive results in aerobic capacity, lower body force and punching force. At 21 years old, Jordan is setting world standards already, ready to push on for domestic titles in 2016.
Jordan is a real advocate for the Boxing Science program, and we are proud of the progress he has made and excited for what his future holds.
